WaPo Fact-Checker Admits the Media Suppressed the ‘Lab-Leak’ Story to Discredit Trump

Surprise, surprise.

We mentioned earlier that The Washington Post changed its position overnight on the “lab-leak” theory:

There have been persistent rumors that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was studying the Coronavirus, and that the virus escaped the lab. The media ridiculed the rumor until yesterday; today they abruptly announced that the lab-leak theory is plausible.

Why? WaPo fact-checker Glenn Kessler has openly admitted that he used his job to discredit Trump as much as possible, in addition to saying he wasn’t going to fact-check Biden the way he did Trump.

Now Kessler’s admitting the reason he and the rest of the MMMs squelched the lab-leak rumor is simple: Because it offered a priceless opportunity to discredit Trump and accuse him of loony conspiracy theories.

Raise your hand if this shocks you.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
