Yes I can, but I’m not talk­ing about Biden. I’m talk­ing about what Biden said when reporter Peter Doocy had the unmit­i­gat­ed gall to ask Biden a ques­tion that was­n’t on the list of allowed ques­tions: “Do you think infla­tion is a polit­i­cal lia­bil­i­ty?”

Biden’s unin­tend­ed hot mike response: “What a stu­pid son of a bitch!”

Doocy’s pro­duc­er lat­er Tweet­ed that Biden had called Doocy to “apol­o­gize”: “It’s noth­ing per­son­al, pal.”

Doocy replied with a quote from Cap­tain Amer­i­ca: The Win­ter Sol­dier: A dozen guys attack Cap­tain Amer­i­ca in an ele­va­tor; the last one stand­ing says, “Noth­ing per­son­al, Cap!”

Cap­tain Amer­i­ca knocks him out and toss­es him on the pile of 11 oth­er uncon­scious attack­ers.

“It kin­da feels per­son­al,” Cap­tain Amer­i­ca says.

Doocy did­n’t say that, alas. But I can dream, can’t I?
